More information about the coffee in the description below. More
This coffee is processed at the Ndaro-ini PLC washing station, which is owned by a company run by the Gikanda Farmers' Cooperative Society, which was established in the 1990s. This company works with more than 2 000 local growers.
The Ndaro-ini station was established in 1986 by farmers in the Nyeri area who did not want to carry their coffee long distances to the nearest washing station. They therefore named the newly built washing station Ndaro-ini, which means 'resting place' in Swahili. The Ndaro-ini station has a unique water source - they use a spring that flows from the high mountains.
From the current cupping of our barista
From the very first sip, the coffee surprises you with its variety, First your mouth is awash with sweetness to the subtlety of cane sugar, which spills over into a pleasant grapefruit acidity. The body is strong, slightly tart with notes of unripe bananas, which gives the coffee just the right amount of zing. The after taste has a slightly bitter chocolate character that is typical of Kenyan coffees.
